The market will take place on 8 August starting from 9am.
Spokesperson for the Rand Aid Association-run retirement village, Cathy Grosvenor said, “Invite a friend for a nice morning out and come shop till you drop. On offer will be various items including; clothes, shoes, cakes, preserves, cheese, pickled onions, scarves, jewellery, bric-a-brac, arts and crafts, knitwear, seedlings, hand-bags, gifts, birthday cards and much more.”
She added that visitors can also enjoy freshly-baked scones or toasted sandwiches, boerewors rolls and tea and coffee.
The retirement home is situated on the corner of Modderfontein and Wordsworth roads in Lyndhurst.
