Singers to celebrate nature

PARKVIEW - The beauty of nature will be the theme of a programme of music and words by the St Francis Singers on the first Sunday of July.

The Singers have become well known for their presentations on various themes; this time, the focus will be on our natural heritage. The programme will also point to the devastation on the environment, and will include a commitment to creation through an earth covenant.

Members of the public are invited to hear some of the well-loved songs about creation, as well as listen to pieces, such as those by John Rutter and the famous Brother James’s Air setting of Psalm 23.

The programme will be presented at the St Francis Anglican Church, 46 Tyrone Avenue, at 5.00 pm on Sunday 6 July. Entrance is free, and a retiring collection will be taken to cover expenses.
