The event aims to appreciate pupils who have excelled in their grades throughout the year. Parents also braved the cold to attend the event which was held in the school hall.
Certificates were handed out to the pupils.
The school’s public relations officer and Grade 1 teacher, Nobuhle Zondo said, “This also inspires the kids that have done well to do even better and for those that still struggle, they get encouraged to pull up their socks,” said Zondo.
Some of the activities during the day included singing, poem recitals and a Sarafina dance by some of the pupils.
Women teachers dressed in black and red played host to the parents and pupils, adding a special flavour to the day.
