Two women assaulted

Two women were assaulted in the past two weeks at their homes.

The first incident took place in Savoy Estate and involved a woman who was assaulted by her son.

According to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley police, the incident took place at the woman’s house in Hasting Avenue at about 6pm.

“The son started hitting his mother in the face during the altercation, but fortunately she did not suffer any visible injuries,” he said.

The son was arrested and detained at the Bramley Police Station.

Meanwhile, a woman in Kew was assaulted when a man punched her in the face during an argument.

“The suspect began pushing the complainant and assaulting her, which resulted in the woman bleeding and sustaining injuries to her face,” Maphakela said.

The woman was taken to the Alexandra clinic for treatment. The police are still investigating the matter.
