Toni-Ann Black was one of 12 South Africans selected to represent the country at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles, while Alexandra Breckenridge was selected for the Junior South African Debating team.

Black got the opportunity to compete against more than 1 800 finalists from 70 different countries at the event, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious science fairs in the world.

According to the school’s marketing and public relations director, Khanya Warren, Black has been offered numerous scholarships since then.

“She will join her team in a prestigious international tournament being held in Bangkok during the August holidays,” said Warren.
