Vehicle related theft hits Norwood

Norwood police were investigating two cases of attempted car theft and damage to a motor vehicle in the past two weeks.

According to Constable Nonzwakazi Tsoanyane a lady in Sydenham was almost robbed of her car.

“The complainant parked her car outside her house and went inside for a few minutes but when she returned, she noticed that her car had been tampered with,” she said.

Damages to the car were estimated at R10 000 and police were still investigating the matter.

In another related case, a man returned to find his parked car tampered with and his wallet gone. The incident took place in Linksfield and according to Tsoanyane, the estimated value of the stolen goods was R8 000.
