The incident took place at a café and according to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, the woman hit the guard (47) with a bottle after he tried to intervene in a fight.
“The complainant was asked to go investigate the matter [fight] and alleges that when he got there he found a woman bleeding saying she was assaulted by two other women,” he said.
The complainant claimed that he proceeded to attempt to resolve the matter, but the women began assaulting each other again, and while he attempted to separate them one woman hit him with a bottle.
The police are still investigating the matter.
