JOBURG - With Father's Day on 15 June and Youth Day on 16 June, this weekend gives Joburgers something to celebrate.

14 June

The Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival at Constitution Hill ends on a high note with a youth music festival, hosted by Lazola Gola at 12pm.

The festival will feature performances by The Brother Moves On, Dirty Paraffin, Tumi, Blk Jks Sndsystm, Desmond and the Tutus, Christian Tiger School, MoonchildSA, Riky Rick Makhado, 8 Bars Short, and more.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy curated clothing and food markets.

Fourways Crossing will celebrate man and his machines with a Father’s Day car exhibition.

The River Cabin, Fourways, will host a day of fishing for dads and their families.

If hooks and bait don’t get you very excited, there’ll also be a craft market, live music, pony rides and craft tables at the venue.

Youth Unplugged, the month-long concert series by Joburg Theatre’s youth development department will continue this weekend at the theatre’s Space.com.

Neo-soul artist Morena will perform solo on 14 June at 7.30pm, and will be joined by RnB artist Dumza for a double bill on 15 June at 3pm.
