Biscuit brand creates 3D sketch at mall

Local artist Mak1One, recently recreated the world’s first ever 3D chalk Oreo at the Zone in Rosebank.

This came after Oreo South Africa announced its upcoming partnership with Paramount Pictures for the Global Release of Michael Bay’s “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” releasing in South Africa on 27 June.

Mak1One took to the streets of Rosebank at The Zone from 4 of June to 8 of June to help bring the twist, lick and dunk bisquit to life on a grand scale.

Turning the streets into art Oreo South Africa wanted to engage with its local fans in a playful and memorable way.

“It was delightful to watch as the small iconic biscuit came to life with the 3D chalk sketch,” says Tasmin Darroch, Category Leader for Biscuits, Beverages and Groceries at Mondelez South Africa.

“We’re truly very excited about this partnership as we’re bringing two iconic brands together in a big way around the world,” continued Darroch.

Over the weekend, fans of the bisquit, together with media, celebrities and South African personalities joined in the action to help complete and get their picture with the 3D chalk sketch.

Fans also shared their Oreo moments across various social media platforms.
