The delightful character of Freckleface Strawberry will be entertaining South African audiences this June at the National Children’s Theatre.

The character will feature in Freckleface Strawberry: The Musical which is an adaptation of the best-selling children’s book of the same name written by Hollywood actress Julianne Moore.

According to Sydwell Koopedi of the National Children’s theatre, the play will excite and entertain young viewers and is a definite must-see.

“The talented cast takes audience inside the book’s pages with Freckleface and friends in this funny, witty and warmhearted production,” he said.

The play will be directed by Francois Theron and will star Naledi award-winning actress Marike Smith as title character, Freckleface Strawberry.
