EMMARENTIA – Parkview police are looking for two suspects who were involved in a house robbery in Emmarentia.

On 5 May, a woman who works as a domestic worker in the home on Marico Road, was inside the house when two men entered through the front door.

Parkview police spokesperson Sergeant Lloyd Ramovha said the victim explained how she was told to keep quiet and co-operate otherwise she would die trying to save her employers’ property.

“They then took a jersey that was on the bed and tied her hands up and ordered her not to look at them or they will shoot her,” he said.

The suspects then allegedly asked her where the safe and jewellery was, “She replied that she didn’t know,” said Ramovha. The suspects then proceeded to ransack the house and took a flat screen TV, car keys and other valuables.

“They then drove away with her employers white C180 Mercedes Benz, together with their own brown vehicle,” said Ramovha. The estimated value of the stolen items is estimated at R365 000, no arrests have been made.
