Freedom Day riddled with dumped foetuses

2 Foetuses have been found dumped in refuse bins on Freedom Day according to media reports.

The first foetus was found in a bloody white grocery bag in Hillbrow on the corner of Fife Avenue and Olivia Road on Sunday afternoon. It is believed that the fully developed foetus was possibly aborted.

Constable Thabo Malatji, spokesman for the SAPS’s Hillbrow cluster told IOL, “A vagrant was looking in the bin for something to eat when he came across the plastic bag. In it was the foetus and a lot of blood.”

It is believed that when the vagrant made the discovery he screamed and someone near him realised what had happened and alerted the police.

Malatji added, “A concealment of death docket was opened, but there are no suspects as yet.”

The second foetus, which was also said to be fully developed, was found at Empire Road, Parktown wrapped in a plastic bag, next to a bin.

No arrests have been made yet.
