Armed robbers tie up couple

Two families living in Craighall Park and Parkview were recently victims of separate incidents of armed robberies.

The first occurred in Craighall Park where the complainant said he had been watching TV when two armed men entered his home and tied him up.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Lloyd Ramovha said, “At this point, four more men entered the home and ransacked the house.

“All six men were armed and stole money, jewellery and cellphones from the house. They were scared off when one of them tripped the security alarm, and ran off with only some of the valuables that they had packed inside the house.”

The second incident, which took place in Parkview left a couple distraught after their home was invaded by two armed men.

“The couple was instructed not to make a noise, and [they were] tied up in their bedroom. The men stole the woman’s jewellery, the home plasma [TV], camera and money,” said Ramovha.

No suspects have been arrested for either incidents.
