Author aims to inspire

Linksfield resident and author Leanne Hunt has launched her debut novel which she believes will inspire women to be better.

“Jozi Gold tells the story of a housewife, Jeannie Parker who discovers that her handsome husband Craig is not the faithful life partner she thought he was and she suffers a crisis of faith,” said Hunt. “With her marriage crumbling around her, she realises she can either succumb to despair or claim her life as her own.”

She added that the novel was set against the backdrop of the 2010 Soccer World Cup, giving it a familiar and vibrant feel. “I believe it will appeal especially to women who are thinking about reinventing themselves in a rapidly changing world,” she said.

“A door never closes without several windows of opportunity opening, and it’s up to us to be brave and explore what we haven’t even considered relevant before.”

The book is available at selected bookstores as well as online at Exclusives, Kalahari and Loot. It can also be downloaded in a Kindle version.
