Man shot in front of school
JOBURG - The police appeal to anyone with information regarding a shooting outside De La Salle Holy Cross Junior School to come forward with information.
This came after a parent of children attending the school was shot on the corners of 11th and 13th streets on 27 February.
According to Linden police spokesperson Carol Mulamo the 53-year-old man was sitting in his car outside the school waiting for his children when three men driving a white VW Golf stopped next to him.
“The suspects allegedly shot at the victim three times, both on his upper and lower body,” said Mulamo.
“The suspects then fled with R40 000 that the victim had withdrew at the bank minutes before.”
She added, “At the moment, thanks to a reliable eye witnesses who can identify the men, we are looking for three suspects.”
The victim was seriously injured and taken to Milpark Hospital.
No school children were harmed during the incident.
Mulamo said there were no developments yet on tracking the vehicle.
