Norwood business robbed twice in four days

NORWOOD - Police are investigating a business robbery which was the second break-in at the company in four days.

Norwood police spokesperson Constable Nonzwakazi Tsoanyane said the business owner had locked all the doors when she left the business premises on 16 December.

“When she returned the next morning at around 8:30am, she found the office upside down. This worried her because she had left the office tidy the night before,” said Tsoanyane. She added the woman noticed that a camera bag and a briefcase had been left opened.

Tsoanyane said a camera, equipment and three computers were stolen, and the bathroom windows had also been broken. “It appears the perpetrators gained entry through the bathroom window,” she said. Police said the value of the stolen items was estimated to be R100 000. Tsoanyane appealed to members of the public who may have information that could lead to an arrest to come forward.
