No end to Craighall armed robberies

CRAIGHALL - Armed house robberies appear to be a persistent problem for residents living in the Craighall and Craighall Park areas.

The Gazette has reported on a few Craig Park families who had fallen victim to the crime, and it appears that other homes remain targets.

According to Parkview police spokesperson Princess Mudau, another Craighall Park home was targeted when the suspects managed to steal the victim’s vehicle as well.

“The woman said she was in her room when she heard strange men asking her helper where the owner of the house was,” said Mudau.

“Frantic, the woman quickly locked herself in her room and called her husband but was ambushed when one of the men broke the door down and pointed a gun at her.”

Mudau said the woman was allegedly then told to lie on the floor and was robbed of her money and possessions.

“The victim also realised after the incident that the suspects had stolen her car out of the garage,” said Mudau.
