She excelled at the recent RSA Cup and National Age Group Diving Competition in Cape Town.
In the RSA Cup, which is a senior open knock out competition, Benning won the plate competition for divers ranked nine to 18 years old.
This now places her ninth in the country in an open age group event.
In the national age group competition, she participated in the 10 to 11 age group category.
Her results were as follows:
- First place on the 1m board
- First place on the 3m board
- First place on platform
- First place in the synchronised event (12 to 13 age group) with her partner Olivia Van Vollenhoven.
At the end of the competition Benning was awarded the trophy for the Best Group D (10 to 11 age group) diver in South Africa.
