Gould will be charged with assault after he allegedly punched Bidvest Wits player Getaneh Kebede in the face during their league match played at FNB Stadium on 9 November.

Wits CEO Jose Ferreira had protested to the league and the South African Football Association, demanding that action be taken against Kaizer Chiefs, Gould and referee Lwandile Mfiki, but the league seems to be hauling only Gould before its committee.
