According to Parkview police spokesperson Princess Mudau, the woman was in her room when she heard someone trying to unlock her door.
“She thought it might be her boss. She asked who was there, but there was no answer,” said Mudau.
The door was opened and three men, one of whom wore a balaclava, entered her room and told her not to scream.
“The man with the balaclava pointed a black 9mm pistol at her and stayed in the room with her, while the other men went to the main house. After a while, he told the domestic worker to accompany him to the house,” said Mudau.
The men took keys, a TV set, a camera, watches, a wedding ring, a cellphone, two iPads, remote controls, and speakers.
The value of the stolen goods was estimated at R100 000.
No arrests have been made.
