Security company donates T-shirts to cops

ROSEBANK - Security company, Community Active Protection donated T-shirts to the Rosebank police station's youth desk.

The donation was made after the station’s spokesperson, Bongi Mdletshe asked the company to assist.

The T-shirts will help the youth to be noticeable whenever they interact with communities.

The company’s manager Tanya Greenberg said, “The T-shirts will help them to be visible out there. We have a very good relationship with the police and we’ve always been involved in the crime-fighting project. Last year we helped with the distribution of pamphlets with a message that discouraged criminal behaviour.” The youth desk was the initiative of the national police office. Young people were taken on board at the station to help with community outreach programmes.

Mdletshe, who is also responsible for social and community related issues, said members of the youth desk formed part of his team on education drives to address pupils about drugs, bullying and other social ills.

He said pupils found it easy to identify themselves with other young people.
