Get in touch with your artistic side

BRAAMFONTEIN - Adults will have an opportunity to get in touch with their creative side at the National School of the Arts.

The school will hold three adult art workshops to give people the chance to explore different disciplines under the guidance of experts.

On 31 August, Kagiso Pat Mautloa will facilitate a life drawing workshop.

On 14 September, a ceramics workshop will be led by Anthousa Sotiriades.

On 19 October, a print workshop will be facilitated by Bongi Dhlomo.

The school’s Marjolein Bench said she hoped the workshops would stimulate creativity and allow people to have fun in a wonderful environment while raising funds for the art department.

“There is also a community outreach aspect, as three of the slots are reserved for art teachers from disadvantaged schools,” she said.

As each workshop would be limited to 15 people, Bench urged people to book early. The booking deadline is one week prior to each workshop. The cost will include lunch and materials.
