The truck was carrying potassium cyanide, a highly poisonous chemical used in mines to recover gold.
Inhalation of the drug can lead to death as it targeted and attacked the central nervous system, eyes, kidneys, liver, lungs, skin and heart.
Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale appealed to members of the public with any knowledge on the whereabouts of the truck to contact the police.
“The truck registration number is BX6 2XP GP and has the phrase Chrome Metal Chemicals written in blue and grey,” said Mogale.
According to Eyewitness News, the truck was last seen in Malboro.
