Lipschitz murder suspects in court

SENDERWOOD - Three suspects in the murder of Shaun Lipschitz in Tennyson Avenue have appeared in court.

They were cornered during an early morning joint operation by police officers and Community Active Protection responsive team.

Lipschitz, a 35-year-old IT specialist and resident of Bedfordview, was shot dead in his home on 28 January while defending his wife and three children against attackers. He fatally wounded both attackers before he died.

On the day, two armed men entered Lipschitz’s home at about 8.40pm through a window. Lipschitz apparently heard the crash, took out his gun and went to investigate.

He confronted the two suspects and a shootout took place during which all three men were fatally wounded.

Lipschitz’s wife came on the scene and called the police. All three men were pronounced dead at the scene.

It later emerged there were more suspects involved in the incidents.
