Members urged to endorse resolution

ALEXANDRA - Alexandra Land and Property Owners' Association (Alpoa) is calling on all its members to come to the offices and endorse the resolution taken at its recent general meeting held at the King Cinema in 2nd Avenue.

Alpoa secretary general Jacky Segopa said they needed members to endorse the resolution for legal purposes. “It is the same resolution taken at the meeting, urging the organisation to continue with government negotiations towards finding an amicable solution to the issue of the restoration of title deeds in the township.”

Segopa urged members to ensure they do so before 20 July in order to allow them to continue with the current talks, although the government haven’t come back to Alpoa to unpack the proposed programme of the restoration of the land and property rights.

When Alpoa and the government representative met in December last year, Alpoa demanded another meeting to unpack the proposal before the body can accept or reject the proposal. “We are still waiting for this meeting to unpack their proposal to us,” Segopa said.
