Patroller in love letter drama

ALEXANDRA - A patroller at Pholosho Junior Secondary School has been suspended pending an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment.

This was confirmed by Community Policing Forum chairperson Bulldog Rathokolo, who’s organisation is in charge of the patrollers under the Gauteng Department of Community Safety.

The fallout between the patroller and the school came on Valentine’s Day when he was alleged to have written a love letter to one of the school girls.

The letter was passed from one pupil to the other, until a teacher confiscated it and handed it to principal Margaret Thage.

The matter was reported to the district office which suspended the patroller, but the school governing body and the policing forum stepped in and ordered that the patroller be reinstated. He was suspended again a few days later.

The patroller has denied writing a letter and making contact with the girl.
