Improve the visual perception of children aged 3 to 6 with this easy exercise

CRAIGHALL – IQ Football has held a competition for soccer players from ages three to 18.

Children between the ages of three and six can improve their visual perception with a simple but fun exercise.

Throughout the lockdown, Craighall Park’s IQ Football has published videos of coach Sean Szabo demonstrating how to do fun exercises at home to improve one’s soccer skills. One of these exercises can improve the perception of youngsters through the simple act of throwing a soccer ball up into the air and clapping with your hands once, twice or even more times, before catching the ball.

“Keep your eye on the ball the whole time,” Szabo instructs viewers in the video.

“This is just working on your perception, where the ball is, when it’s coming down to you.” He encourages children to just try clap once before trying to clap twice or more times. “If any of you find that easy, even try more. You can try four claps, five claps… Good luck with that.”

During the lockdown, IQ Football has held a competition for soccer players from ages three to 18, where, if they take a video of themselves doing a soccer skill or trick and upload the video on Facebook or Instagram and tag IQ Football, then they can win a size-four soccer ball. The post must also include the hashtag #IQFootballSkillsCompetition.
