Despite the rain, the queue at the IEC voting station at Greenside Primary School is still long but shortening by the minute.
The rain could not keep voters away on 8 May as hundreds still piled into the school to cast their vote in the 2019 elections.
Dozens of marked thumbs were seen filing out of the voting station with relieved smiles on the faces of voting.
Presiding officer Cheryl Kotwal said the queue at Greenside Primary School lasts between 5 and 15 minutes.
Sarah Koning from the Rosebank Killarney Gazette caught up with some of the voters.
