Angels in Blue share joy

ROSEBANK– Sharing the joy of Christmas with the SAPS widow and orphan fund.

Angels in Blue shared Christmas joy for the 18th time this year with the widows and children of fallen South African Police Service officers.

So often, during our festive season shopping, do we not take into account, that while we enjoy time off, our protectors in blue work tirelessly to keep us safe? This is a sentiment shared by Major General Janet Basson who welcomed guests, police officers and children to the Angels in Blue present handover on 4 December.

For weeks a massive ‘Angel tree’ has stood tall in Rosebank Mall with glass globes containing a child’s name, age and gender. Visitors are asked to buy a child something special, no matter how small, any act of kindness means a great deal to each child.

The positive response from visitors across many malls was outstanding, with multiple gifts for each young soul.
