Customers fill up the new SuperSPAR in Rosebank

ROSEBANK – Residents flocked to The Zone early in the morning keen to see what the newly launched SuperSPAR had in store for them.

No one had foreseen the large number of customers who showed up at the launch of a new SuperSPAR. The Zone at Rosebank celebrated the launch of their newest anchor tenant, a Fontana SuperSPAR.

Account executive at Atmosphere Public Relations Consultancy, Jodeane Coetzee said, “This is the first time in four years that The Zone is getting an anchor tenant and the shop will have its own café, its own deli (kosher and halaal) and will be very beneficial to The Zone mall overall. Old Mutual Properties, of course, sees the value of investing in an area such as The Zone@ Rosebank.”

The SPAR consultancy team, Leon Hoffmann, Ndaniso Khanye, Werner Fourie and Michael Wright are happy to bring in more customers as the SPAR franchise expands.

Fontana SuperSPAR area manager, Grant de Klerk said the launch was to celebrate the milestone of reaching their 50th birthday as the Fontana brand.

“Fontana is based around family values and serving fresh food throughout the year has been a motto for years. Fontana family has a huge passion for customers whom they also consider as family. We are proud to be a part of today’s legacy and we look forward to overcoming more milestones,” said De Klerk.

He said this was the first time in SPAR history where they had opened three ‘high LSM’ stores in one year. De Klerk said the other two are at The Wedge in Rivonia and Athol Square in Sandton.
