Greenside High over the moon with 100 per cent pass rate

GREENSIDE – Greenside High School celebrates the Class of 2017's exceptional performance in the matric finals with a 100 per cent matric pass to show for it.

 

The announcement of the Gauteng Department of Education National Senior Certificate exam results was met with enthusiasm by Greenside High as the school celebrated a 100 per cent matric pass rate.

“We are thrilled that our school received a 100 per cent pass,” said school principal, Nicky Whyte.

“Every learner who wrote qualifies for tertiary studies and, in general, learners’ results improved incrementally across the year with many surpassing themselves in the final examinations.”

The top-performing matrics, with their averages, were:

Seven distinctions:

Reece Peters, 88 per cent

Six distinctions:

Kauthar Hassan, 85 per cent

Rhea-Vera Hicks, 85 per cent

Nathan Hsu, 85 per cent

Five distinctions:

Ayesha Davids, 92 per cent

Keane Govender, 83 per cent

Queten Harris, 82 per cent

Raees Randeree, 82 per cent

Shaahid Rahiman, 81 per cent.
