Protest action affects community members negatively

Following the recent strike by the National Taxi Alliance, the Rosebank Killarney Gazette asked local residents if they were affected by the protest and whether or not their businesses or jobs were impacted negatively? Here's what community members had to say ...

KEN SUNG LUNG:
I run a business and have found that I’ve had to find ways of working around travel constraints whenever there are taxi strikes.
MOSIBUDI SEFITLHOLO:
It affects us really badly because we end up missing work and do not get paid when we do. Our children end up struggling through exams.
BRENT YUN:
It’s not too bad. People do battle to get to work but we find means of managing the workload at the end of the day.
ROXANNE ACKERMAN:
The only way the strike affected me is in that I had to do other people’s work for them – those who couldn’t get to work.
