Warning about imminent power outage
PARKTOWN - Residents have been warned of the imminent power outages to affect some suburbs and places on 17 August.
According to City Power, the planned power interruption were necessary to do essential work on the network which was part of our programme of constantly striving to provide better service.
Suburbs and places to be affected are Parktown West, Kenridge Hospital, Isle of Houghton, Princess Place, Parklane Clinic, Wellington Street, St Andrews Road, Girton Road, Parktown East, York Road and The Wilds.
The interruption will take place from 10pm until 6am the following morning.
“As the supply may be restored at anytime, customers are urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times. City Power regrets any inconvenience that may be caused by these interruptions,” it said in a statement.
