Weather conditions may have derailed the September 21 cleanup, but the Zoo Lake community is gearing up for a new attempt.

The Friends of Zoo Lake, in partnership with Fibre Circle, has rescheduled its clean-up campaign for October 19–20.
The event aims to promote recycling and maintain the beauty of Zoo Lake.

The partnership between Friends of Zoo Lake and Fibre Circle, South Africa’s leading paper and paper packaging producer responsibility organisation, began in May 2023. Fibre Circle sponsors the Friends of Zoo Lake’s recycling project, converting recyclable waste into valuable donations for park maintenance and upgrades.
