Lwande Bhidla was the standout performer, smashing a century off just 81 balls, while Buhle Bhidla contributed a solid 79 runs off 68 balls. Mzingisi Jikija’s brilliant bowling spell, where he took 3 wickets for just 22 runs in 4 overs, played a pivotal role in the commanding win.

The Lions showcased their prowess in both T20 matches, comfortably chasing modest targets. Xola Songwangwa was instrumental, scoring 40 runs off 33 balls in one match and 43 runs off 34 balls in another. The bowling attack continued to shine, with Jikija claiming 3 wickets for 18 runs and Doctor Malinga contributing another wicket for 24 runs.
The Dragons struggled against a relentless Lions bowling strategy, being bowled out for only 93 runs in the 40 over match. The Lions’ B1 players, including Njabulo Ngubane and Jikija, effectively capitalised on critical moments in the game to restrict the opposition.
