The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund Walk ended at the Johannesburg Zoo

The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund launched the Children’s Fun Walk in 2022 as part of the an annual children’s celebration.

The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund and Nedbank Affinity affiliated programme hosted their annual walk in Parktown and ended at the Johannesburg Zoo on July 13.

Every year, Nelson Mandela celebrated his birthday with his children. In 2022, the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund launched the Children’s Fun Walk as part of the Children’s Fund’s annual children’s celebration.

The walk was a build-up activity to July 18 – the day famously known as International Mandela Day, the former President’s birthday.

  • The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund is an advocacy and social developmental agency founded by former president, Nelson Mandela in 1995.

  • The organisation’s strategic programmes include Child Safety and Protection, Child Survival, Development, Thriving, Sustainable Livelihoods, Youth Leadership, and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital in Parktown, Johannesburg.
