Local soccer players receive new soccer kits

Loudoun United Football Club donated sports kits and put smiles on local soccer players at Sacred Heart College on December 12.

Loudoun’s coach, Daryn Patricio said the football club wanted to give back to the local community and put smiles on faces.

“Today is about children from the community. I have seen players who have great potential if they hone their skills and we hope to keep this going so that we can keep track of the players and see where they land up.”

Northrand Football Association chairman, Gorge Patricio said the initiative was made possible by players who come from surrounding communities and play for different leagues.

Patricio added, “The idea behind the initiative was to give back to the community because the players did not always get such opportunities. Sacred Heart College also came on board with their field, it is an initiative that we can work on and grow.”
