International Arts Talent Showcase hosted its 13th auditions
CEO Elsubie Louwrens started the International Arts Talent Showcase to give South African talent international opportunities.
The International Arts Talent Showcase hosted its 13th auditions at The Venue in Melrose Arch on October 5.
The chairperson and CEO, Elsubie Louwrens, said the talent showcase came about from her dream of being an international model.
“I earned my credentials and accolades in South Africa but always had a bigger dream. All the agents and industry professionals that I worked with were uninterested in bridging the gap between Africa and America. I got on a plane in 2010, met with agents overseas and from there I began inviting them to SA, and registered the International Arts Talent Showcase which kickstarted the auditioning process in all nine provinces.”
Model Sydney Masilela added he was at the talent show to showcase his talent and hoped to be scouted by international agents and professionals.
Louwrens noted that although she approached the Presidency and the Department of Arts and Culture for support, her business was self-funded and driven by passion.
Singer and model, Anthony Malunga said his aim was to blow people away by showing them his creative sides.
“My two talents will be showing my versatility in both creative aspects. I hope to go to New York should my auditions be successful to further my career in both creative spaces.”
