How will the Impact Run impact you?

Various roads are set to be affected with the Impact Run happening this Saturday, August 5.

Road users are urged to plan ahead in light of the Impact Run happening this Saturday, August 5.

The road running race is set to start from the DP Wanderers Stadium in Illovo.

The roads will only be partially closed when there is a large number of participants passing through to ensure the safety of the runners.

There will be three variances of the race. Namely, a 5km, 10km and 21km race.

The route for the five-kilometre race will be as follows:

  • Start Corlett Drive and Jacobs Avenue
  • Left at Atholl Oaklands Road
  • Left at Central Road
  • Left at Rivonia Road
  • Keep left and continue onto Rudd Road
  • Left at Corlett Drive

The route for the 10-kilometre race will be as follows:

  • Start at Corlett Drive and Jacobs Avenue
  • Left at Atholl Oaklands Road
  • Left at Central Road
  • Right at Rivonia Road
  • Left at Sandton Drive
  • U-Turn at the Corner of Sandton Drive and Alice Lane
  • Right at Rivonia Road
  • Left at Rudd Road
  • Left at Corlett Drive

  • Left at Alice Lane

The roads will be managed and controlled by JMPD and road marshalls to ensure the safety of both road users and participants.
