Discovery Soccer Park hosts legendary footballers

Bernard Parker’s book titled From a Shack to Destiny is an autobiography aimed to inspire aspiring players reach the top.

Former Bafana Bafana star and current TS Galaxy player Bernard Parker launched his autobiography in style by hosting a soccer match.

Parker was part of the Bernard Parker Stars team that took on technology services company Itec Tiyende at Discovery Soccer Park,

Wanderers on June 23. And it was fitting that Parker’s team won 8–7.

Parker’s autobiography, From a Shack to Destiny will be released on September 7.

The Kaizer Chiefs all-time goal scorer shares his life story of growing up and his experiences in football. He hopes his book inspires players to be diligent in their football careers.

“My book features Dr Kaizer Motaung, my role model Benni McCarthy, Dr Khumalo and other players whom I played with through my career and my former coaches,” said Parker.

Between 2007 and 2015, Parker made 73 appearances for the South African national team and scored 23 goals.

Itec Tiyende is led by managing director Simbo Ntshinka who has built a relationship with Parker and encourages relationships with those who are leaders of their craft, and industry.
