Guests celebrate the launch of Smirnoff watermelon and mint infusion
Head of innovation of Diageo Thandeka Ngqumeya thanks her team, entertainers and guests for taking the time to celebrate the launch of Smirnoff's latest infusion.
The vibrant sun welcomed guests from all over Gauteng to the Smirnoff watermelon and mint infusion launch celebration at the Shepstone Gardens on June 19.
On arrival, guests were given complimentary cocktails of their own choosing with a touch of the natural infusion . The venue that is designed for wedding ceremonies proved to be a perfect spot for a place to celebrate as every individual captured the fairytale moments with their phones.
Contemporary dancers, photographers, chefs, DJ’s and bartenders entertained the crowd from dusk to dawn. One of the biggest highlights from the function was the one-on-one interaction between Michael al Alpiae, the mixologist and a few participants who were more than excited to master making a cocktail. This proved to be great initiative as more individuals joined and learnt a thing or two
“The atmosphere so far has truly been spectacular. Great food, music and please don’t get me started with the drinks, they are to die for. It’s great to have all these people under one roof,” said Tembi Sikupela.
“We wanted everybody to come out to enjoy a bit of summer in the middle of winter. Great entertainment but more than anything, great drinks.
It’s June, also known as Pride Month, which shares similarities with the infusion flavours that Smirnoff has to offer: Lots of colour, celebration and energy,” said the head of innovation of Diageo, Thandeka Ngqumeya.
