New computers for local high school

The new personal computers were donated to Victory Park Adult Education Centre.

Recently, the De La Salle Holy Cross Alumni Association and Fluid IT Solutions donated four new personal computers to the Victory Park Adult Education Centre to enhance the students’ computer skills.

Stefan Kruger, managing director of Fluid IT Solutions and past learner of the school, recalls how his junior school teacher, Brother Gabriel Griffin, told his students, ‘If it is meant to be, it is up to me’. “This message has always stuck with me, and I am honoured to be able to give back to our community in some way,” Kruger said.
What made the day more special was that Brother Gabriel Griffin was there to witness the impact his words had so many years ago.

The Victory Park Adult Education Centre welcomes anyone from the community who would like to complete their schooling. Based at De La Salle Holy Cross College, classes are held on weekdays from 18:00 to 20:00 and from 09:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays.

Its aim is to create a supportive and effective learning environment for students. The classes are free for learners from grades 1 to 11 and Grade 12s only pay a registration fee of R100 and R100 per subject.
