Parktown Girls is proud of their debaters

PARKVIEW – Christina Vaudran is the only female member of the five-person team to represent South Africa at the World Schools Debating Competition.

Parktown High School for Girls congratulates Christina Vaudran and Micaela Smith who attended trials last year for the World Schools Debating Competition.

Teacher in charge of debating at Parktown Girls Mandy Linde said, “We are thrilled to share the news that Christina has been chosen to be a member of the five-person team set to represent our country. “She is also the only female member of the team.

She will be training weekly with her new teammates and will be participating in various international competitions.”

Linde said these competitions would be held online due to the difficulties with travelling at the moment. “We wish Christina all the best as she holds the Parktown star up high on the international playing field.” In other news, Grade 9 learner Laura Helling has been selected for the South African Junior Debating team.
