A new platform for the half-century aged
ILLOVO – The platform will create a space where women can pursue their passions and know that they do not have to fit into the mold of others’ opinions, or the fluctuating standards of society.
Local women older or nearing 50 years of age are invited to a Sip and Shop event in Illovo where a website intended to assist them in finding products that are suitable for them will be launched.
With about 50 women expected to join her for the Sip and Shop afternoon, Marna Grobler, a teacher, business owner, and health and wellness coach, is launching her 50andMe lifestyle concept website on November 6.
The website will launch at Pillow Talk in Illovo, and according to Grobler, the website will be essential for women over 50 years of age, offering articles on wellness, menopause, beauty, recipes, adventures, and of course shopping and wine.
“This 50andMe concept and website was created soon after I turned 50. I could not find a central place to interact with other women my age, find products or relevant articles,” said Grobler.
“I felt there was a need for a platform where women can connect, interact, and find everything, they might need to help them grow older feeling fabulous.”
Grobler hoped that this platform would provide a place where women could follow their passions without worrying about conforming to society’s expectations or fitting into the mould of others’ opinions.
