Partnership are important for moving forward, JRA spokesperson

ROSEBANK – Partnerships between officials are important in moving forward, says Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) spokesperson.

The officials of the Rosebank Management District (RMD) recently organised a Rosebank Walkabout, with the intention of showcasing Rosebank’s potential as an all-inclusive residential, entertainment and business district to the media, key stakeholders and to City of Johannesburg officials.

They further aimed to establish partnerships with these officials in ensuring the area functioned at optimal capacity.

The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has commended the RMD’s initiative, and Kelebogile Mafa, media and communications officer for JRA, said that while JRA officials hadn’t been able to attend the Walkabout due to other work-related arrangements, the JRA Region B had a close relationship with the Rosebank’s Excellerate Managed Services Precinct management.

She said she believed it was important these kind of partnerships be established between key officials and governing bodies in the community, and officials of the City of Johannesburg: “It is important for the City of Johannesburg with all its entities and departments to work with bodies like district management (DM) or resident associations (RA) as stakeholders in the City,” she continued.

“These organisations contribute meaningfully in being the eyes and ears of the City by reporting service defects, and through keeping the city clean and providing valuable input related to the Integrated Development Plan of the City.”
