A morning spent honouring Breakfast at Tiffany’s

EMMARENTIA – The Historic Documentary Film Society celebrates the 60th anniversary of the movie.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the release of the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

To mark this anniversary, the Historic Documentary Film Society will screen Audrey, more than an icon at the Ditsong Military Museum on August 25.

Attendees of the screening will spend the morning honouring the memory and work of Audrey Hepburn. Though many might not have seen the film, images of Hepburn looking fashionable in a black form-fitting dress, paired with big sunglasses and a pearl necklace have definitely been seared in our minds. She looked this memorable all while eating breakfast, a croissant and coffee, as she looked into Tiffany jewellery store longing to own all the dazzling pieces she saw from the window.

Should you be interested in watching the actress’ work and honouring this unforgettable movie, said to have amassed both critical and commercial acclaim, then head on over to the museum. The cost to watch the screening is R120, starts at 9:30 for 10:00 includes tea thereafter.

Covid-19 regulations and social distance regulations will apply.
