Call for residents to support Norwood police with refreshments

NORWOOD – An initiative has started following overwhelming calls enquiring about supporting police with refreshments.

Residents who want to donate refreshments and snacks for police officials amid these unprecedented times can drop them off at Norwood police station.

Refreshments can also be dropped at Gourmet Grocer in Birdhaven and will then be delivered to the station and to the Community Policing Forum (CPF) offices in Melrose Arch.

This is a CPF initiative and was started when residents in various WhatsApp groups asked if they could assist police and patrollers with refreshments.

Annie Hodes of the CPF said they are not taking cash donations at this time. “Please consider Checkers360 or one of the other delivery options which can be delivered to the station or the Gourmet Grocer,” she added.
