Bet on doing better this Mandela Month

PARKHURST – Bet On Better needs your help in collecting 67 000 tinned food cans for the less unfortunate.

Bet On Better needs your help in collecting 67 000 cans of tinned food for those in need.

Bet On Better is a non-profit organisation that has been operational since January last year. The organisation was founded by Nanine Levitz, Jack Phalane and Soldatos Ari with the aim of providing a platform for South Africa’s sports stars to get the opportunity to compete internationally, through a fundraising campaign.

Due to the pandemic, the organisation has since widened its focus towards outreach work in South Africa. The organisation provides support to community action networks in Parkhurst, Greenside, Emmarentia and Houghton to name a few

“The need in South Africa is so great that I believe that it is our civic responsibility to help fellow citizens,” said Levitz.

This Mandela Month, Bet On Better is running a Mandela Day campaign in an effort to collect their target of tinned food.

“I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of responses to my request for help which shows that I am not alone in believing that all who can, should help the less fortunate. There is a huge amount of goodwill in the country and we need to pull together now more than ever.”

The donations from the campaign will go to multiple community action networks and Marico Care Trust.

To donate to the organisation you can contact Nanine Levitz on 083 676 6188 or via email betonbetter@mweb.co.za
