Business manager of Caxton Local Media Joburg North gets the jab

CRAIGHALL – Business manager receives the vaccine to help protect himself, his colleagues and his family.

It’s one small prick for man, one giant leap for the nation. Receiving any injection can be daunting – even for adults. With so much misconception and misinformation surrounding the Covid-19 vaccine, it can be intimidating for the toughest of folk. Business manager of Caxton Local Media Joburg North branch, Norman Dawe, joined the thousands of brave South Africans who have received ‘the jab’.

Dawe is a leader who not only talks the talk but walks the walk. Often seen around his newspaper branch in Craighall, observing that social distancing and adherence to Covid-19 protocols are in place, our boss not only took one for the team, but for the nation as a whole. He received his first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at Mall of the South’s Dis-Chem on July 7.

He was delighted to report the friendliness and efficiency of the nurses and staff at the site.

“It is important for everyone who can get vaccinated to do so as soon as they are able,” said Dawe.
For some though, transport or ability to get to a vaccination site is difficult.

“Our newspapers have reported on many community members and businesses who are offering free transport to vaccine sites, so there are options out there for the elderly or those who need support.”
