Norwood police arrest two suspects, third runs away

WAVERLEY – The suspects will appear before the court of law in due course.

Norwood police arrested two suspects for possession of a hijacked motor vehicle, possession of car-breaking implements and possession of a signal jammer on 3 June.

Spokesperson for the Norwood Police Station Sergeant Eric Masotsha said two suspects were arrested and one ran away following a chase.

“A member of the police received information of a hijacked white BMW after which a chase ensued until the suspects lost control of the vehicle in Waverley,” said Masotsha.

He added that both suspects would appear in court in due course.

“We urge community members who know the whereabouts of the third suspect to contact police on 011 483 4600/09.”
